Merchandiser

Role & Responsibilities:
As a Merchandiser, you will spend approximately 70% of your time on procurement and origination activities, and 30% on domestic logistics. You will support Frey’s grains product verticals by engaging with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to ensure a seamless supply chain and provide critical market insights. Your work will directly contribute to Frey’s export program and strategic growth in the grains market.
Main responsibilities:
Originate and procure grains to support Frey’s export program, ensuring timely and efficient supply.
Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic supplier partners.
Draft, review, and input contracts intro Frey’s MyFrey/Marango system and manage issuance.
Coordinate domestic logistics for product delivery to loading facilities, including freight procurement and truck scheduling.
Monitor market prices across geographies, identify best-buy values, and report arbitrage opportunities.
Provide weekly market reports and maintain clear communication with export, sales, and logistics teams.
Expected skills & Experience:
To succeed in this role, you should be commercially curious, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a dynamic commodity environment. You thrive when combining market analysis with hands-on execution and enjoy building strong relationships with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.
1-4 years of experience in grains procurement, origination, or commodity trading.
Previous experience in Trade Execution or Logistics is a strong advantage.
Strong market awareness and analytical skills to monitor prices and identify opportunities.
Hands-on, proactive, and accountable with a collaborative mindset.
Comfortable communicating in written and verbal English with both internal and external stakeholders.
Eagerness to learn and grow in commodity sourcing, domestic logistics, and international trade.
